Our New Brand

Allstream is a new beginning for a new company. Our name change from AT&T Canada signals our new status as a fully independent company with a fresh new outlook. We understand that the continuous flow of information that travels through networks is more than just data - it's the value people create.

We are now focused more than ever on providing communication solutions that enable your company to communicate, collaborate and compete more effectively. Please see the information below for answers to commonly asked questions.

Customer Q&A

Q: Will my e-mail address change? If yes, when? Will my e-mail be forwarded for a period of time? How long? How will I get my new address?

Due to the change in our relationship with AT&T Corp, customers who use attcanada.ca or attcanada.net as their e-mail address will need to migrate to a new e-mail address by no later than January 31, 2004.

Prior to this date, we will provide you with a new e-mail address for you to utilize. For a given period of time, both your existing attcanada e-mail and your new e-mail address will function. This will ensure that you have time to convert your e-mail address through the normal course of business.

You will be given plenty of notice before the change takes effect and will receive additional information from us about the change to your e-mail.

Q: Will there be changes to my calling card?

We will be migrating calling card customers to a new calling card platform prior to June 30, 2004. We will be re-issuing new Calling Cards with the new logo well in advance of this date. Adequate transitioning lead times will ensure that there will be no disruption to your current calling card service.

Q: Will you still offer the same products and services?

Not only will we continue to offer the same products and services, but we will also continue to add and enhance existing products and services through product development and the expansion of our relationships with leading suppliers.

Q: Will there be any changes to my pricing when you change company name?

There will be no changes to any of our pricing due to the company name/brand change. Over time we may modify pricing on selected services. If so, we will ensure customers are kept up to date with adequate lead times.

Q: Will I experience any changes to my service?

There will be no near-term changes to any of our services due to our name change. Over time, we will make changes to some of our services (e-mail, calling card), however this will always be done with adequate lead time to minimize any inconvenience for our customers.

Q: Will you be using the same network?

We continue to have a state-of-the-art national network. And, in addition to working with AT&T Corp., we also have the ability to forge additional supplier relationships that will translate into enhanced products and services for customers.

Q: Will there be any changes made to the network? Will it affect me?

No. While we transition to our new brand, you will continue to enjoy the same products, services and network reach that we currently provide to you.

Q: Who owns the new company as I know that AT&T Canada shares were no longer publicly traded as of October 2002?

Allstream is a publicly traded company with shares listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and NASDAQ.

Q: Will my billing date change?

No, you will continue to have the same billing date you currently have with us today.

Q: Will you have a new address for payment?

Payments should continue to be sent to the same civic mailing address they are today, but you will need to change our company name in the mailing.

Q: Who do I make my cheques for payment to?

You should make all cheques payable to Allstream. Cheques made payable to the former AT&T Canada will be accepted only up until December 31, 2003

Q: Will my invoice format/layout change?

No, the only change will be any appearance to our new company name or logo on your invoice.

Q: If you stop offering a product or service that I currently have, will I have to go elsewhere? Will I be able to keep my existing service even if you do not offer it to new customers? Will you offer something of equal value?

Allstream does not anticipate discontinuing any of its existing services. Although the company's branding arrangements with AT&T Corp. are changing, Allstream will continue to offer customers its complete portfolio of scalable and diverse Connectivity, Infrastructure Management, and IT Services.

Q: I have cross border circuits. Will my current network change?

No. Allstream continues to partner with AT&T Corp. in support of our existing mutual customers' cross-border services. Changing the company's name in no way changes the commitments the company has made to provide you with service. Although Allstream's branding arrangements with AT&T Corp. have changed, the two companies retain a strong commercial relationship.

Q: I will require additional cross border circuits, will AT&T Corp in the US still be a partner? If not, who will be your partners?

Yes, although the relationship is no longer exclusive, both Allstream and AT&T Corp. continue to work together in meeting our mutual customers' ongoing requirements. If you require any type of service change, please contact your Allstream account representative via the standard channels.

Q: Does your changing company name change the commitments you have made in any term agreements I may have signed?

Changing the Company's name in no way changes the commitments the Company has made to provide you with service. Although the Company's branding arrangements with AT&T Corp. are changing the two Companies retain a strong commercial relationship. As such the Company remains committed to provide you with all of the services previously provided to you in cooperation with the Company's suppliers and partners including AT&T Corp. in addition to other carriers with international reach.

Q: Do I have to update my Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) due to your name change?

No. Your Pre-Authorized payments will continue to be taken on the same date. Once our new brand is reflected on invoices, this name will also be reflected on your credit card or bank statement.

Q: How come my invoice still says AT&T Canada?

We are currently in the transition period between brands and you will see your invoice reflect our new brand over the next few months. Billing inserts will be accompanying your invoices to keep you up to date on these changes.

Q: Will my account number change?

No, your account number(s) will not change as a result of our new brand.
