Business Line Service

We are pleased to provide you with a feature-rich business communications service that provides unlimited two-way access to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), and the ability to add Voice Messaging, Toll-Free, Long Distance and Calling Card services, keeping you connected with your employees, customers and suppliers.

Features Available on Your Business Line Service *

Call Display - See in advance the name and number of the incoming call. Your equipment must be capable of reading and displaying the name and number information it receives.

Call Forward *72, *73 - Forward all incoming calls to another number by pressing *72 and then dialing the number the calls are to be forwarded to. *73 deactivates the service.

Directory Number Hunting - When an incoming call encounters a busy line, it will automatically be directed to your next available line.

Call Waiting - Alerts you with an audible tone that there is another incoming call on the line. Simply press the flash/link button on your phone and you will automatically answer the new incoming call, leaving the first call on hold. To return to the first call, or to continue moving between the two calls, simply press flash/link each time.

Cancel Call Waiting *70 - Press *70 before placing a call to suspend Call Waiting for the duration of that call only. *70 is particularly useful during fax transmissions or if you don't want to be interrupted during an important call.

Call Transfer/Three-Way Calling - Transfer a call to another number internally or externally. To initiate a Call Transfer, press the flash/link/disconnect button (actual button may vary by phone) and dial the third party. The original caller is put on hold. You may carry on a private conversation with the third party, or press the flash/link button again to connect all three parties in a conference call. To release the third party (if you reach their voicemail for example), press the flash/link button once again to return to the original caller.

Alternate Number Ringing - Have up to two additional telephone numbers on your Business Line, each with its own distinctive ring, which enables you to identify the type of incoming call.

Caller ID Block *67 - Prevent your name and/or number from being displayed to the person you are calling by pressing *67 before dialing.

Call Screening *60 - Screen calls from designated telephone numbers. After pressing *60, you will be prompted to create, delete or edit a list of telephone numbers to be screened, up to a maximum of 12 entries.

Call Restriction - Impose specific restrictions on outgoing calls. For example, courtesy phones found in doctors' offices or company lobbies won't connect a long-distance call because they are restricted to local calls only.

Emergency and Assistance Numbers - Access emergency or assistance numbers such as Directory Assistance (411); Repair and Maintenance (611); Message Relay Service for the hearing impaired (711); and Police, Fire and Ambulance Emergency (911); as well as Operator Assistance (0).

* Feature availability varies by region. Some features are chargeable. Directory Assistance and Operator Services are chargeable per use. Emergency (911) and Message Relay Service (711) are flat rate per month. Access to Repair and Maintenance is free.
