How do I get the dialer to remember my password?

If you would like Windows 95/98 to remember your internet password, the following instructions can guide you through the process. Please note that this process is not recommended by Allstream, as it allows others access to you your internet account. Be sure to keep your password in a safe place, as you will need it to change account info, create Web Pages, and view account status.

Double click on My Computer, double click on Control Panel, double click on Passwords, select User can customize their preferences.... Click OK. You will then be prompted to restart your machine, click OK.

When your machine restarts you will be prompted for a User Name and Password, enter your name for the User Name but DO NOT enter a password. Click OK, when prompted to confirm your password, click OK again. When asked to Remember Setting click Yes.

When you login now you will be able to select Remember Password

Note: each time you resart windows you will be asked for a Password, just click OK.
