Error 676- The Dial Up Networking (DUN) profile doesn't have your Allstream username.

    OR

"accept only encrypted authentication" is checked under the security section.
It should be set at "accept any authentication including clear text".

Error 629 - In most cases, this error message means that your password is incorrect or you do not have
your username (username@allstream.net) entered correctly.

"Remote Access Service not installed" - This error means that the wrong modem is chosen in your DUN profile.

When in doubt, enable post-dial terminal. If that logs you in, the problem likely falls under errors 676 or 629.
