Case Study: Puma implements Allstream MPLS network nationally, converging voice and data and expanding network

"Enabled real time delivery of pricing strategies, to all stores at once, vastly reducing timeframes and required resources"

Puma’s nine Canadian locations were connected to its head offices in Montreal and Mississauga via DSL Internet. While this connectivity level served core communications needs, data exchange between its head offices and store POS (point-of-sale) systems was severely limited in both capacity and functionality. For example, Puma was not able to get pricing information out to all stores simultaneously and in real time, nor were store revenues easily and quickly available. To simplify operations, conserve resources, reduce costs and enable future services, Puma needed a highly scalable MPLS network with substantially increased data connectivity between its stores and main offices.
