We have finally installed our KITTY KONDOs in the dedicated cat boarding area overlooking the entrance foyer to the clinic. Here your cat can observe the activities of the reception area from a safe distance while being part of the action!
The cages were custom-built to our specifications for flexibility of housing cats in more than one unit. This arrangement allows us to open portholes and hatches to increase the living area to a maximum of 6 units. This way, you can decide on the amount of space you would like your cat to have. It is an economical way to house more than one cat from the same family.
Come in and check out the "OCEAN VIEW" accomodations for your feline companions (overlooking our indoor goldfish pond)!
Our kennel facilities have a new coat of paint and are being decorated with colorful murals to give your dog the sensation of being outdoors. There's never a dull moment as they try to find the little wild creatures hidden in the shrubs and trees!
Although the kennels are located on the lower level, an in-floor heating system keeps those feet toasty warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Three daily walks are included and usually end up being a fun outing on our 2 acres of wooded ravine property. This gives our staff a chance to evaluate their gait, elimination behaviour and activity level which they record daily and enter into their take-home report.
We now have a certification course in pet first-aid for pet owners and any-one working with animals. It offers pet owners the tools to deal with basic emergency situations before professional veterinary intervention.
The course is offered on the first weekend of the month and has a limited enrollment. An orientation is held on Friday evening for two hours. Work-books, a technical manual and hand-outs are distributed and the basic outline for the next day is provided.
The next day involves 8 hours of theory and practical techniques including the use of a live animal to practice emergency procedures. The day ends with an examination and certification. A first-aid kit is available for purchase.
Please call (905) 567-VETS (8387) for available dates, fees and more information.
Since moving to our new premises, we now have the facilities to provide in-hospital, daily immature canine socialization and house-training while you work.
Some of our recent graduates have learned the ropes in a few weeks and are well on their way to becoming good house pets without the strain of cleaning up after those "puppy accidents".
Try out this new service to save your sanity and get the newest member of your pack to toe the line!
We are offering a series of 12 dog obedience classes by a professional trainer.
The first 4 lessons will be one-on-one pet-trainer sessions for your "best friend" to learn some of the commands and responses without the distraction of other animals or people besides the trainer.
The next 4 lessons will be private sessions including you, the owner, into the training to learn the commands and how to issue them effectively as well as appropriate rewards.
The last 4 lessons will be group sessions so that the new techniques can be incorporated in a situation full of distractions.
We are currently booking up for these lessons. Call us for pricing and details.

We are now back to offering an all breed grooming service for dogs and cats including medicated, flea, deskunking and special treatments under veterinary supervision
Our groomer, Tony, is a professional companion animal groomer. He has worked in the industry for decades bringing his experience and talent to our grooming services.
Tony's gentle approach puts your pet at ease which is
essential to a successful session. He is also willing to show
you how to keep your pets coat healthy between groomings. Home maintenance is
important for your pet's comfort as well as reducing the difficulty
(and cost) of professional grooming when necessary.
We have 3 blood analysers to do our clinical chemistry and blood cellular analysis in-hospital.
The chemistry analyser uses a small amount of serum to identify 12 components of your pets blood and helps to diagnose dysfunction of various organs.
The QBC machine performs an analysis of the cellular components of the blood and reports the results as a comparison to normal values stored in the software as well as in a graphical format.
We now have a new electrolye analyser to detect minute changes in your pets' electrolyte balance which helps us select and fine-tune our fluid therapy.
By using these recources, we can reduce the turn-around time of blood testing from 6-8 hours to 20-30 minutes. This benefit can be invaluable to pre-anesthetic testing (removing the need for previous evening blood sampling and stagnation errors). It also is essential to quick diagnosis of medical or surgical conditions allowing for quicker treatment.
You can now fax or e-mail in your pet related questions to us at the CREDITVIEW ANIMAL & BIRD HOSPITAL and have your reply faxed /e-mailed back to you generally within 24 hours (This service is limited to patients of our hospital). This method gives us more flexibility in choosing the most appropriate response to your questions and saves you the time of having to research your queries and allows us to point you in the correct direction for informative websites.
